LPA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-..QJ A RESOLUTION OF THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, TRANSMITTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COMMISSION OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH THE PROPOSED CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A", FOR THE REQUIRED TRANSMITTAL TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING AND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION ACT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida was incorporated on June 17, 1997 and is required within three years of incorporation to adopt a comprehensive plan; and WHEREAS, the City Commissioners, serving as the Local Planning Agency ("LP A"), conducted a public hearing relating to the comprehensive planning and future growth of the City which involved public participation; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 163.3167(4) the City has prepared a proposed Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the LP A has determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its residents to recommend approval of the Comprehensive Plan for transmittal to the applicable State agenCIes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the LP A hereby transmits and recommends to the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach the proposed City of Sunny Isles Beach Comprehensive Plan, attached to this Resolution as Exhibit "A," for further consideration and transmittal by the City Commission to the State Department of Community Affairs pursuant to Florida Statute 163.3184(15). Section 2. law. That the City Clerk is directed to make the appropriate transmittals as required by Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
