<br />LPA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-..QJ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY OF <br />THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />TRANSMITTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY <br />COMMISSION OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH THE PROPOSED <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A", <br />FOR THE REQUIRED TRANSMITTAL TO THE STATE <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS PURSUANT <br />TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING AND LAND <br />DEVELOPMENT REGULATION ACT; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida was incorporated on June 17, 1997 and <br />is required within three years of incorporation to adopt a comprehensive plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commissioners, serving as the Local Planning Agency ("LP A"), <br />conducted a public hearing relating to the comprehensive planning and future growth of the City <br />which involved public participation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 163.3167(4) the City has prepared a proposed <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the LP A has determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its <br />residents to recommend approval of the Comprehensive Plan for transmittal to the applicable State <br />agenCIes; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the LP A hereby transmits and recommends to the City Commission of the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach the proposed City of Sunny Isles Beach Comprehensive Plan, attached to this <br />Resolution as Exhibit "A," for further consideration and transmittal by the City Commission to the <br />State Department of Community Affairs pursuant to Florida Statute 163.3184(15). <br /> <br />Section 2. <br />law. <br /> <br />That the City Clerk is directed to make the appropriate transmittals as required by <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. <br />
