Book, Esq., ("BOOK"), an attorney and member of the Florida <br />B'Lr, doing business as Ronald L. Book. P.A. <br />THE PARTIES HERETO DO COVENANT AND AGREE, AS FOLLOWS; <br />I. PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for the City to retain the professional <br />services of BOOK for coordination of the CITY'S legislative relations and for lobbyin~ <br />requirements, as described in paragraph II herein below. <br />D. SERVICES <br />BOOK shall provide all necessary legislative relations and lobbying services in any <br />jurisdiction to the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Such seIVices shall include work for the purpose of <br />securing funds and grants for various purposes from State, Federal and other sources, promoting <br />int::rgovernmental cooperation in achieving the CITY's objectives, and securing funds and grants <br />for parks and recreation purposes, crime prevention, economic development and other purposes. <br />BOOK shall regularly report the status ofhis efforts to the City Manager and/or the City Attorney. <br />m. COMPENSATION <br />F or all professional services provided by BOOK hereunder as described in paragraph <br />II, the CITY shall pay BOOK annual compensation of Twenty Thousand ($20,000) for Calendar <br />Ye;:LI' 1998, at an annual rate of Twenty-Five Thousand and Noll 00 ($25,000.00) Dollars for January, <br />Fehruary and March 1999, at the annual rate of Forty Thousand and No/lOO ($40,000.00) Dollars <br /> <br />RoD Hoole R_>n),m <br /> <br />-3- <br />
