Dannheisser <br />City Attorney <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended, by both the Mayor and Manager, that the City Commission <br />authorize, by resolution, a revised contract with City Lobbyist Ron Book, increasing <br />the fees paid. <br />REASONS <br />Ron Book has proven himself to be very effective in the process of obtaining grants. <br />These include $2,068,100 in Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond issue monies for the <br />beachfront park (received) and an additional $250,000 recommended by a <br />subcommittee for the North Bay Road Park (subjectto County Commission approval). <br />Other efforts relating to State grant monies are pending. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br />The original contract provides for a three -year total of $85,000 in compensation and <br />up to $9,000 in costs, or $94,000.
