RESOLUTION NO. C11 -_I Ll 2_ <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING STREET PAVING FOR <br />GOLDEN SHORES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />MAKE AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />WITH H&R PAVING, BASED UPON A COUNTY BID ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A", IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY-ONE <br />THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FORTY-THREE AND 56/100 ($619643.56) <br />DOLLARS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Commission desire that the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />beautify and improve various rights -of -way within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission, in an effort to maintain the health, welfare <br />and beauty of the City, desire to pave the streets of Golden Shores; and <br />WHEREAS, H & R Paving, based on a county bid, has agreed to pave the streets of Golden <br />Shores for the amount of Sixty -One Thousand Six Hundred Forty -Three and 56/100 ($61,643.56) <br />Dollars, which bid has been reviewed by the staff of the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach wish to <br />authorize the City Manager and his staff to make and enter into a contract with H & R Paving on <br />behalf of the City of Sunny Isles Beach; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, that: <br />Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the streets of Golden Shores to be <br />paved and the City Manager is hereby authorized to make and enter into a formal contract on behalf <br />of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, with H & R Paving, based upon a county bid attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A", in the amount of Sixty -One Thousand Six Hundred Forty-three and 56/100 <br />($61,643.56) Dollars to pave the streets of Golden Shores. <br />Section 2.
