Section 2. Calling A Run-off Election. If Necessary <br />In accordance with the Municipal Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, and the general <br />laws of the State of Florida, a Run-off Election, if necessary, is hereby called and directed to be held in <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 1999, for <br />the purpose of submitting to the electorate of the City the question as set forth hereinafter. <br />Section 3. Designation Of Two Registered Voters To Serve On The Canvassing Board <br />That the City of Sunny Isles Beach Commission hereby designate: <br />Mgmy Pine, and Norman Edelcuu , two registered voters, to serve with the City Clerk, City Manager, <br />and the City Attorney as the City of Sunny Isles Beach's Canvassing Board for the September 14, 1999, <br />General Election, and if necessary, the October 12, 1999 run-off election. <br />Section 4. Conducting the Elections <br />That the City Clerk is authorized to utilize the services of the Miami -Dade County Supervisor <br />of Elections and his staff of officials for assistance in the conduct said General Election, and run-off <br />Election, if necessary. The Miami -Dade County Election Officials shall furnish the official returns for <br />each precinct to the City Clerk of the City of Sunny Isles Beach as soon as the ballots from all <br />precincts have been tabulated, and the City of Sunny Isles Beach Canvassing Board's certification of <br />the duly accepted results of said elections shall be accepted by the City Commission. <br />Section 5. Voting Precincts <br />That said voting precincts in the City of Sunny Isles Beach for said Special Election shall be as <br />established by the proper and appropriate Miami -Dade County Supervisor of Elections and his staff <br />of officials. All electors shall vote at the polling places and the voting precincts in which the <br />OFFICIAL REGISTRATION BOOKS show that the said electors reside. A list of the voting <br />precincts and the polling places therein (subject to change by the Miami -Dade County Supervisor of <br />Elections, in accordance with the laws of Florida) is attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />Section 6. Voter Registration <br />That registration of persons desiring to vote in said General Election, and if necessary, a run-off <br />election, shall be in accordance with the general laws of the State of Florida governing voter <br />registration. Qualified persons may obtain registration forms to vote at the Office of the City Clerk, <br />City Hall, Suite 250, 17070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160, Monday through <br />R99- Calling General Election Page 2 <br />
