City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Office of the Citv Clerk <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: July 1. 1999 <br />TO: klavor Samson and City Commissioners <br />FROM: Richard Brown -\gorilla, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: RESOLUTION DESIGNATING TWO REGISTERED VOTERS TO SERVE <br />ON THE CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE UPCOMING ELECTION <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is requested that the City Commission amend Resolution No. 99-143 by approving the <br />proposed resolution designating a different "registered voter" who shall serve alone with Mr. <br />Manny Pine and with the City Clerk, Citv Manager. and Citv Attomev as the Canvassing Board <br />for the upcoming General elections in September. <br />REASONS: <br />Mgr. Norman Edelcup, one of the two registered voters who was selected on June 17. 1999 by the <br />Citv Commission to serve on the Canvassing Board is unable to serve in that capacity. This <br />proposed resolution amends Resolution No. 99-143 by designating a different "registered voter." <br />Pursuant to Citv Ordinance No. 99-65. the City Commission must designate the two registered <br />voters to serve on the Canvassing Board of specific elections.
