<br />.. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 201. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND UTILIZE A VEHICLE DONATED <br />TO THE CITY ON BEHALF OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes the safety of its citizens is of paramount <br />importance to the Police Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, any addition to the Police fleet will greatly enhance that Department's <br />presence and hence, its efficiency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has been offered a donated vehicle to greatly <br />facilitate its presence in the City for the health, welfare and benefit of the citizens of Sunny Isles <br />Beach; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the acceptance of the donated <br />vehicle for the utilization and benefit ofthe City's Police Department; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Authorization to City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept the <br />donated vehicle for the utilization and benefit of the City's Police Department. <br /> <br />2. Effective Date.
