b. In accordance with Section 2.2 of the Charter ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach the Mayor shall appoint both the chair and vice-chair of the committee. Section 3, The powers and duties of this committee shall be solely of an advisory nature and the purview of its lay recommendations shall include: a. Recommendations relative to the preparation of the City's Comprehensive Plan and subsequent land development regulations during the Comprehensive Planning Process. b. Monitoring and evaluation ofthe Comprehensive Plan, following approval. c. Recommendations regarding other specific tasks assigned by the City Manger and/or the Community Planning and Development Director. Section 4. This Committee shall be subject to the Sunshine Laws and, as such shall maintain minutes of all meetings and give proper notice as to meeting times and dates. Meetings shall be called at such times and at such dates as the Chair shall determine. In no event shall such meetings be held simultaneously when the Commission is sitting as the Local Planning Agency during the Comprehensive Planning Process. The City Attorney may conduct a workshop to educate all members regarding public records, sunshine laws and rules of procedure as adopted by the Commission prior to the convening of the Committee. Section 5. The appointments once made in writing in accordance with Section 2 hereinabove shall become effective immediately upon the appointee filing with the City Clerk his/her acceptance and a financial disclosure Form 1 (Statement of Financial Interest-1999) as required by law. Section 6. Members who miss three consecutive meetings will be removed by the City Clerk and the City Clerk shall notify the appropriate Commissioner so that a replacement appointment shall be made. Section 7. The provisions ofthis Resolution authorizing recreation of this committee on the foregoing terms and conditions shall become effective immediately. pon adoption.
