<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-2..5 2. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF ADDITIONAL <br />CURB AND GUTTERING ALONG 174TH STREET WEST OF <br />NORTH BAY ROAD BY H & R PAVING, INC.; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 24, 2000, the City Commission approved a contract with H & R <br />Paving, Inc. for resurfacing, curb removal, re-striping and curb painting of 174th Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during the initial curb removal phase it was discovered that additional curb and <br />guttering replacement was needed in order to maintain the proper flow of water in the drainage <br />system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is cost effective and efficient for the City to have H & R Paving, Inc. replace <br />the additional curb and guttering at this time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, H & R Paving, Inc. has furnished competitive pricing to perform this task; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Additional Work. The H & R Paving invoice for additional curb and <br />guttering replacement, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", in the amount of Six Thousand Five Hundred <br />Sixty Dollars ($6,560.00) is hereby approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do any and <br />all things necessary to effectuate the intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
