<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- ~t6 '3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ROTATION OF <br />SPECIAL MASTERS FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARINGS; <br />PROVIDING FOR A EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 18, 1999, the City Commission approved the process of <br />scheduling Special Masters to hear Administrative Appeals; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Officers have also advised that the number of Code <br />Enforcement hearings will increase due to expiring amnesty and compliance periods granted to correct <br />violations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, prior to this meeting, the City Commission also approved the appointment of <br />two additional Special Masters, thereby making four Special Masters available to serve the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, while the City Commission by motion indicated an order preference for the <br />utilization of Special Masters, with the increasing number of upcoming hearings, and in order to <br />maintain the appearance of, as well as guarantee impartiality on the part of City Staff for the citizens of <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the Commission is hereby requested to automatically rotate the <br />assignment of Special Masters; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. It is hereby directed that the City Manager, and the Code Enforcement Division <br />automatically rotate the Special Masters for Code Enforcement hearings from the ratified <br />roster. <br /> <br />2.
