<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- ~"L.\ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />READOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 2000-276 ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT <br />2.500 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND ($1000) DOLLARS OF TAXABLE <br />ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 14.521 PERCENT GREATER THAN THE <br />"ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.183 MILLS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2000 Taxable Value"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach has furnished <br />to the County Property Appraiser, the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which <br />public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 7, 2000, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2000-266, <br />establishing the tentative ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.500 mills per one thousand dollars of <br />taxable assessed value; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 19,2000, after public hearing, the City Commission adopted <br />Resolution No. 2000-276, establishing the ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.500 mills per one <br />thousand dollars of taxable assessed value; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Revenue has requested that the City re-advertise the <br />Fiscal Year 2000-01 millage rate and budget, re-hold the public hearing; and the City has done so. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The millage rate is hereby readopted and established as 2.500 per One Thousand <br />($1000) Dollars of assessed value of the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
