RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 3OLj_ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE CITY'S 2001 LEGISLATIVE COMMUNITY BUDGET REQUESTS, APPROPRIATIONS AND GRANTS FROM THE STATE LEGISLATURE, ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT"A," PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 9216.052; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Florida Statute 9216.052 requires that community budget requests be considered at a hearing before a body of duly elected public officials before being submitted for State consideration as an appropriation request; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to support the prioritized list of State appropriation requests; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach has conducted a duly noticed public hearing to consider prioritizing its community budget funding requests; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to authorize the City Manager to petition the State of Florida for Legislative Appropriations. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City's 2001 legislative community budget requests, appropriations and grants from the State Legislature, are approved as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A." Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to petition the State of Florida for the Legislative Appropriations set forth in Exhibit "A." Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the sponsoring members of the Florida Legislature. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 2001.
