<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 3OLj_ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE CITY'S 2001 <br />LEGISLATIVE COMMUNITY BUDGET REQUESTS, APPROPRIATIONS <br />AND GRANTS FROM THE STATE LEGISLATURE, ATTACHED AS <br />EXHIBIT"A," PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 9216.052; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statute 9216.052 requires that community budget requests <br />be considered at a hearing before a body of duly elected public officials before being <br />submitted for State consideration as an appropriation request; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to <br />support the prioritized list of State appropriation requests; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach has <br />conducted a duly noticed public hearing to consider prioritizing its community budget <br />funding requests; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to <br />authorize the City Manager to petition the State of Florida for Legislative Appropriations. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City's 2001 legislative community budget requests, appropriations and <br />grants from the State Legislature, are approved as set forth in the attached <br />Exhibit "A." <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to petition <br />the State of Florida for the Legislative Appropriations set forth in Exhibit "A." <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the <br />sponsoring members of the Florida Legislature. <br /> <br />Section 4.
