RESOLUTION NO.2001-_!B A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL INC. AND THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH FOR POLICE RADIO MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR, IN AN AMOUNT OF $20,000.00, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE, WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS TO EFFECTUATE THE CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department is in need of maintenance, repair and upkeep of police radio communication equipment to ensure the safety and welfare of the City's residents; and WHEREAS, Communications International Incorporated is the sole source of providing police radio maintenance and repair; WHEREAS, the Chief of Police is requesting to enter into a Maintenance Contract Agreement with Communications International Incorporated, in the amount of $20,000 per year, attached as Exhibit "A", effective July 2001 for a one-year period, with the option to renew each year; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Contract. The Agreement between Communications International Inc. and the City of Sunny Isles Beach for maintenance and repair of police radios, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to enter into a Maintenance Contract Agreement with Communications International Incorporated, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", in the amount of $20,000. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effectivgnpon adoption.
