NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approving Rank Ordering. In accordance with S 287.055, F.S. (2000) the Selection Committee's rank ordering of the landscape architectural firms is hereby approved as follows: 1) The Weitz Company, Inc., 2) James A. Cummings, Inc., and 3) Grace & Naeem Uddin, Inc. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager to Negotiate with The Weitz Company, Inc. The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate an agreement with The Weitz Company, Inc. for the provision of construction management services for the construction of City Hall and accessory structure(s) related to the City Hall, and do all things necessary to effectuate the Resolution. Section 3. Authorization for City Manager to Negotiate with Second and Third Ranked Firms. Should the City be unable to negotiate a satisfactory contract with The Weitz Company, Inc. that is fair, competitive and reasonable, such negotiations shall be formally terminated and the City Manager is hereby authorized to undertake negotiations with the second ranked firm of James A. Cummings, Inc.; and if not satisfactory, the third ranked firm of Grace & Naeem Uddin, Inc. for the provision of construction management services for the construction of City Hall and accessory structure(s) related to the City Hall, and do all things necessary to effectuate the Resolution.
