The
Active Park development project entails approximately twenty -four (24) tasks such as
conducting environmental site assessments and various surveys, preparation of a detailed site
plan and construction drawings, preparation and submittal of a Florida Recreation Development
Assistance Program (FRDAP) grant application, and oversight of the actual construction.
Specifically, one of the tasks Miller Legg was retained for was the preparation of a detailed site
plan and construction drawings. Miller Legg has now partially completed this task, and hereby
submits the conceptual site plan and design for Commission approval.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As our number one ranked landscaped architect (O'Leary Design and Associates, Inc.) declined
to accept this project, staff consulted and subsequently entered into lengthy detailed negotiation
with Miller Legg, the number two ranked landscape architect, who agreed to undertake this
project.
Public input was also received from the Citizen's Planning Advisory Committee.
CJR/pw
Agenda Item
Date
