<br />meet specified limits, Contractor shall rework, re-compact, and retest failed areas as follows: <br /> <br />High Moisture Content: <br />Should moisture content exceed established maximum moisture content, Contractor shall spread, <br />disk, aerate, and / or otherwise cause the moisture content to be reduced to within uniform <br />maximum allowable limits. <br /> <br />Low Moisture Content: <br />Should moisture content not reach established minimum moisture content, Contractor shall disk, <br />sprinkler, water, mix, and/or otherwise bring the moisture content to within uniform minimum <br />allowable limits. <br /> <br />3.06COMPACTION <br />Contractor shall compact and / or otherwise manipulate each layer offill using a vibratory compactor <br />such that a uniform compaction of not less than 100010 of maximum dry density, per AASHTO T-99. <br /> <br />Where compaction fails to meet specified limits, Contractor shall rework, re-compact, and retest failed <br />areas. <br /> <br />3.07FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br />Provide passing density / moisture tests in accordance with Section 01452, testing schedule. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />02319 - 2 <br />
