<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />ACCEPTING, AFTER-THE-FACT, THE DONATION OF A FLAMINGO <br />STATUE FROM MAYOR DAVID SAMSON AND MARION SAMSON; <br />PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO <br />ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in the process of beautifying the parks <br />located in the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mayor David Samson and Marion Samson have purchased a Flamingo <br />statue with their own funds to assist the City in its effort to beautify the parks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has the authority to accept donations as a non-profit municipal <br />corporation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to place the Flamingo statue at a visible area within the <br />Oceanfront Park; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Accepting Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts the donation of the <br />Flamingo statue made by Mayor David Samson and Marion Samson. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager has the authority to do all things <br />necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
