<br />A PROPOSAL TO THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH: Public Safety Master Planning <br /> <br />Emer&ency Dispatch & Disaster Response Plans <br /> <br />Carroll Buracker & Associates, Inc. has evaluated emergency dispatch in more than 70 cities. <br />Two of the three largest cities in the U.S. have retained the firm to evaluate emergency <br />dispatch: the City of Los Angeles and the City of Chicago. The City of Los Angeles selected <br />the firm to redo an emergency dispatch study that had been conducted by another consulting <br />firm. When the City of Chicago wanted its new $215 million police/fire/EMS emergency <br />communications system and facilities evaluated to determine whether the system functions <br />as implemented by 12 major vendors, the city selected Carroll Buracker & Associates, Inc. <br />The firm has also evaluated emergency dispatch in municipalities with populations of 12,000. <br /> <br />Carroll Buracker co-chaired the development of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area <br />(District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland) Disaster Response Plan, which has been <br />implemented on multiple occasions. He and Mr. Les Adams have evaluated disaster <br />response matters in every region of the U.S. <br /> <br />p~'" <br /> <br />Police Policy Manuals <br /> <br />Carroll Buracker & Associates, Inc. has coordinated the development of 11 police <br />department policy manuals. These policy manuals were for agencies smaller and larger than <br />the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department. The firm has also evaluated more than 80 police <br />policy manuals as part of police department master plans and expert witness testimony for <br />cities. <br /> <br />Accreditation of Police A&encies <br /> <br />Carroll Buracker & Associates, Inc. has assisted in and coordinated the development of <br />accreditation standards and provided on-site accreditation technical assistance for eight (8) <br />federally funded police departments through the Commission on Accreditation for Law <br />Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) for the U.S. Government.
