<br />A ImSOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
<br />APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 TO CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN
<br />THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND SPILLIS CANDELA &
<br />PARTNERS, INC., FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES AS CITY HALL
<br />THRESHOLD INSPECTOR, AND TO DESIGN A GREASE TRAP SYSTEM,
<br />WITH RESPECT TO THE NEW GOVERNMENT CENTER FACILITY
<br />LOCATED AT 18050-18070 COLLINS AVENUE, IN THE AMOUNT OF
<br />FORTY-SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS
<br />($46,860.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR
<br />EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
<br />TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SAID
<br />AMENDMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2002-413, dated January 17,2002, the City Commission
<br />approved an agreement between the City and Spillis Candela and Partners, Inc" for architectural
<br />services with respect to the new Government Center facility located at 18050-18070 Collins Avenue;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 4, Section 4.13, the City requests additional services as City
<br />Hall Threshold Inspector, and also for the design of a grease trap system for Tony Roma's
<br />Restaurant, which is not included in the basic services under the Agreement; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc., have provided the City with two (2) proposals,
<br />for the additional services described above, in the amount of$42,000.00 and $4,860,00, respectively,
<br />for a total of $46,860,00, bringing the total contract amount to $626,360.00, as set forth in Exhibit
<br />"A", attached hereto; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City, being satisfied with the performance and quality of workmanship of
<br />Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc" wishes to contract with Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc" to perform
<br />this additional work.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />Section 1 , Approval of Amendment No, 1 to Contract: Amendment No, 1 to Contract by and
<br />between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc., for additional services to
<br />be performed as Threshold Inspector in the amount of $42,000.00, and design of the grease trap
<br />system for Tony Roma's Restaurant in the amount of$4,860,OO, for the combined additional fee of
<br />$46,860,00 bringing the total amount of agreement to $626,360,00, for the new Government Center
<br />facility located at 18050-18070 Collins Avenue, on the terms and conditions as more fully set forth
