RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - -S3..!l A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW COMMUNITY SHUTTLE BUS FROM ATLANTIC BUS SALES, UNDER A STATE OF FLORIDA GOVERNMENT CONTRACT NO. FVPP-02-CA-3, IN AN AMOUNT OF EIGHTY THOUSAND TWO- HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($80,264.00), TO BE PAID FOR WITH FUNDS PROVIDED TO THE CITY BY THE PEOPLE'S TRANSPORTATION PLAN 1/2% SURTAX; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to purchase a community shuttle bus to replace the bus that will be disposed of; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase the Shuttle Bus from Atlantic Bus Sales, under the State of Florida Government Contract No. FVPP-02-CA-3, in an amount of $80,264.00, to be paid for with funds provided to the City by the People's Transportation Plan 1/2% Surtax. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section!. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase the Shuttle Bus from Atlantic Bus Sales, under the State of Florida Government Contract No. FVPP-02-CA-3, in an amount of $80,264.00, to be paid for with funds provided to the City by the People's Transportation Plan 1/2% Surtax, and do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
