<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 1_ :l3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, CHANGING THE RATE OF THE <br />PARKING METERS LOCATED ON NORTH BAY ROAD FROM ONE <br />DOLLAR ($1.00) PER HOUR TO FIFTY CENTS ($.50) PER HOUR; <br />AUTHORIZING STROYNE BROTHERS TO CHANGE THE HOURLY <br />RA TE OF THE PARKING METERS, FOR A TOTAL PROJECT COST <br />OF FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($400.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach has received a request signed by several <br />residents to consider lowering the hourly rate of the parking meters located on North Bay Road, <br />from One Dollar ($1.00) to Fifty Cents ($.50) per hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Ordinance No. 2003-177, Section 1-12, set the hourly rate for all <br />parking meters in the City, however, it provides the City Manager with the authority to change <br />the parking meter rates via resolution, from time to time, Section 1-13; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with that effort, the City wishes to have Stroyne Brothers, <br />the City's parking meter services provider, change the hourly rate of the parking meters from <br />$1.00 to $.50, at a cost of $20.00 per meter (20 meters), for a total project cost of Four Hundred <br />Dollars ($400.00). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Change Hourly Parking Meter Rates on North Bay Road. The hourly rate of the <br />parking meters located on North Bay Road is hereby changed from $1.00 per hour to $.50 per <br />hour. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to have <br />Stroyne Brothers change the hourly rate of the parking meters located on North Bay Road, from <br />$1.00 per hour to $.50 per hour, at a cost of $20.00 per meter for a total amount of $400.00, and <br />do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
