<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES, BEACH, FLORIDA, RENAMING THE 192ND STREET <br />BEACH ACCESS AS THE "ELLEN WYNNE 192ND STREET BEACH <br />ACCESS"; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ellen Wynne, for the past 50 years has been an active and outstanding <br />member of the City of Sunny Isles Beach community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ellen Wynne, has engaged in many civic, philanthropic, historic and <br />environmental preservation activities for the betterment of, not only the Sunny Isles Beach and <br />Golden Shores communities, but also for the entire South Florida community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through her relentless efforts, she has brought notability to the Sunny Isles <br />Beach community, having founded among other things the nation's first free clinic for <br />hemophiliacs in South Florida at Jackson Memorial, which has served as models for similar <br />clinics established in St. Petersburg, Gainesville, Atlanta, Birmingham and across the continent <br />to Japan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Commission would like to honor Ellen Wynne for her extreme <br />dedication in the past 62 years on making the 192nd Street Beach Access a reality; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Renaming of the 192nd Street Beach Access. In honor and appreciation of Mrs. <br />Wynne's dedication to the enhancement of life in the City of Sunny Isles Beach and the South <br />Florida community, the 192nd Street Beach Access is hereby renamed the "Ellen Wynne 192nd <br />Street Beach Access". <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
