RESOLUTION NO. 2Q04 . .:Il2..~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, A WARDING BID NO. 04.07.01 TO HORSEPOWER ELECTRICAL, INC., FOR NE 159th STREET AND NE 174th STREET ROADWAY LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS; APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND HORSEPOWER ELECTRICAL, INC., IN AN AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY.NINE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY. ONE DOLLARS ($179,971.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City issued Bid No. 04-07-01 for roadway lighting improvements at NE 159th Street and NE 174th Street; and WHEREAS, the City held a bid opening on August 9,2004, resulting in three (3) bids being recei ved; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that Horsepower Electrical, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to contract with Horsepower Electrical, Inc., for lighting improvements for NE 159th Street and NE 174th Street, in an amount of $179,971.00, attached hereto as Attachment "A". NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Award of Bid. The City of Sunny Isles Beach Bid No. 04-07-01 for roadway lighting improvements at NE 159th Street and NE 174th Street, is hereby awarded to Horsepower Electrical, Inc., as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Section 2, Approval of Agreement. The Agreement by and between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and Horsepower Electrical, Inc., for roadway lighting improvements at NE 159th Street and NE 174th Street, in an amount of $179,971.00, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved.
