(SR826-172 ST.)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the purchase of twenty-four (24) fight poles
and metal halide fixtures to be placed on North Bay Road between SR826W and 172 Street. The
light fixture quote is$16,756.80 and the single arm poles are $91,877.00.This order comes to a total
of$108,633.00. (See attached quotes).
REASONS:
North Bay Road between the above locations is poorly illuminated. There is some lighting in the
area which is under powered and improperly directed. This has prompted several calls to City Hall
expressing concern. These upgrades are in keeping with the City Strectscape plan.
We have previously ordered from the Halophane and Municipal lighting companies because they are
a sole source for the style and design the City wants plus they have demonstrated their dependable
service and excellent quality. Due to an aluminum shortage there will be a 3% cost increase in the
pole order.
