<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- '13'1 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXPEND THE SUM <br />OF TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($22,680.00) <br />FOR AN ENGINEERING STUDY BY FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT FOR THE <br />UNDERGROUNDING OF THE ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION LINES FOR <br />PROJECT 8 ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT 'A'; PROVIDING THE CITY <br />MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to convert the entire distribution <br />overhead electrical lines to underground in the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach has negotiated with Florida Power and Light <br />to provide an engineering study for the under grounding ofthe electrical lines; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Florida Power and Light has submitted a proposal for Project 8 of the <br />Distribution Overhead to Underground Conversion Project, which is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />"A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Expenditures. The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend <br />Twenty- Two Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($22,680.00) for an engineering study for <br />Project 8 of the Distribution Overhead to Underground Conversions Project, attached as Exhibit <br />"A". <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
