<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 --738 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.3 TO CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND SPILLIS CANDELA & <br />PARTNERS, INC., FOR ADDITIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND <br />CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND THRESHOLD INSPECTOR <br />SERVICES WITH RESPECT TO THE NEW GOVERNMENT CENTER <br />FACILITY LOCATED AT 18070 COLLINS AVENUE, IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY <br />DOLLARS AND NINETEEN CENTS ($159,530.19), ATTACHED HERETO <br />AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY <br />TO EFFECTUATE SAID AMENDMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2002-413, dated January 17, 2002, the City Commission <br />approved an agreement between the City and Spillis Candela and Partners, Inc., for architectural <br />services with respect to the new Government Center facility located at 18050-18070 Collins Avenue, <br />and approved Amendment No.1 for Threshold Inspector and design of a grease trap system for Tony <br />Roma's Restaurant via Resolution No. 2003-539 and in February 19,2004, and approved <br />Amendment 2 under Resolution No. 2004-642 for additional architectural services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 4, Section 4.13 of the agreement between the City and <br />Spillis Candela and Partners, Inc., the City requests additional architectural, construction <br />administration and threshold inspection services for the new Government Center Facility, which is <br />not included in the basic services provision on the Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc., have provided the City with a proposal, for the <br />additional architectural services described above, in the amount of $159,530.19, bringing the total <br />contract amount to $977,792.19, as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City, being satisfied with the performance and quality of workmanship of <br />Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc., wishes to contract with Spillis Candela & Partners, Inc., to perform <br />this additional work. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section1.
