Arias, Information Technology Director Date: November 18, 2004 Re: Addendum to Audio/Visual System for Sunny Isles Beach Government Center Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution. Reasons: The original A/V system proposal included two drop-down electric screens for the commission chambers. However, it has become apparent through discussions with the General Contractor (Weitz), architect (Larry Kline),and looking at the current conditions of the job site that trying to install those screens at this point in time would have a significant impact in terms of delay,additional cost for change orders, and would not look as "good" as another option we had initially decided against due to cost,which is to use 61" wall mounted plasma displays. Because of the additional costs that would be required to install the screens into the"almost finished" ceiling of the new Commission Chambers at this point,we have concluded that this is the better option. This addendum is to change the original proposal by removing the two electric screens and LCD projectors, and substituting 61" plasma displays in their place. This increases the amount of the project by $7454.64, from 5213,046.03 to 5220.500.68. Agenda Item I O Jr Date II� la-0�4
