<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 'L\.~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A CONTRIBUTION OF <br />FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) TO RUTH K. BROAD BAY <br />HARBOUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />BENCHES FOR THE SCHOOL'S HALLWAYS; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor Elementary School has issued a plea for help <br />with the purchase of benches for the school's hallways; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these benches will used by students waiting for teachers to arrive and open <br />classrooms, which will avoid them from having to sit on the cold, cement floor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of Bay Harbour Islands has requested the City's assistance in the <br />purchase of said benches; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, many of our elementary residents are students at Ruth K. Broad Bay <br />Harbour Elementary; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISISON OF <br />THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Commission hereby authorizes the <br />Manager to contribute Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbour <br />Elementary for the purchase of benches. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
