<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF <br />PARK BENCHES, TABLES, TRASH RECEPTACLES, AND BIKE <br />RACKS FOR SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK FROM VISIONS <br />INNOVATED PRODUCTS, INC., UNDER MIAMI-DADE COUNTY <br />CONTRACT NO. 076-BBOl, IN AN AMOUNT OF $13,442.57, ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A",; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of replacing the existing site <br />furniture for the benefit and welfare of its citizens and visitors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Visions Innovated Products, Inc. provided a quote under the Miami-Dade <br />County Contract No. 076-BB01 of Thirteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Forty Two Dollars and <br />Fifty-Seven Cents ($13, 442.57); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these site amenities will greatly enhance the aesthetics of the park and <br />eliminate the potential hazard the deteriorating furniture may cause, and in conjunction with that <br />effort the City wishes to contract with Visions Innovated Products, Inc., piggy-backing off the <br />Miami-Dade County Contract, for the purchase of park benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, <br />and bike rack, in an amount of$13, 442.57, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of the <br />site amenities from Visions Innovated Products, Inc. in an amount of $13,442.57. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
