RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - t"J 5, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER ROOM EQUIPMENT FOR THE SUNNY ISLES BEACH GOVERNMENT CENTER FROM UNITED DATA TECHNOLOGIES, UNDER FLORIDA STATE CONTRACT #250-000-03-1, IN AN AMOUNT OF UP TO TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND SEVENTY- FIVE CENTS ($22,516.75), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of computer room equipment to establish operations in the new Sunny Isles Beach Government Center; and WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach also desires to dispose of obsolete UPS equipment, attached hereto as Exhibit "B", and such old equipment may be traded-in for reduced pricing; and WHEREAS, United Data Technologies provided a trade-in quote under the State of Florida IT Hardware contract #250-000-03-1 for the purchase of the required equipment, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", in an amount of up to Twenty-two Thousand Five Hundred Sixteen Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($22,516.75); and WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to purchase such equipment from United Data Technologies; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase from United Data Technologies the equipment listed in Exhibit "A", in an amount of up to $22,516.75, by trading in the equipment listed in Exhibit "B", and to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of December 2004. R2004-Computer Room Equip From United Data Tech
