<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RE- <br />DESIGNATING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS AS <br />INDIVIDUAL HISTORIC SITES: (1) THE ATLANTIC ISLES <br />ENTRANCE BRIDGE AND THE ATLANTIC ISLES LAKE <br />BRIDGE; (2) THE WATER COURT VILLA AND PERGOLA, <br />LOCATED AT 334 ATLANTIC AVENUE; AND (3) THE <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH PIER LOCATED AT 16701 COLLINS <br />AVENUE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br />ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS <br />OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 171-3, Code of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br />the Historic Preservation Board has been empowered to recommend to the City Commission <br />properties for designation as historic sites and landmarks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 171-4, the City of Sunny Isles Beach Historic <br />Preservation Board conducted a public meeting on June 6, 2005 to determine whether the <br />Atlantic Isles Entrance Bridge and the Atlantic Isles Lake Bridge, the Water Court Villa and <br />Pergola, and the Sunny Isles Beach Pier, meet the criteria as outlined in Ordinance No. 2004- <br />197, which have been designated as historic sites by Miami-Dade County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board adopted HPB Resolution No.s 2005-01, <br />2005-02, and 2005-03, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" respectively, recommending to the City <br />Commission to re-designate the following locations as individual historic sites: 1) the Atlantic <br />Isles Entrance Bridge and the Atlantic Isles Lake Bridge; 2) the Water Court Villa and Pergola, <br />located at 334 Atlantic Avenue; and 3) the Sunny Isles Beach Pier located at 16701 Collins <br />A venue; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />BOARD OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Re-Designating Individual Historic Sites. The City Commission of the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach hereby approves the re-designation of the following individual historic sites: <br />1) the Atlantic Isles Entrance Bridge and the Atlantic Isles Lake Bridge; 2) the Water Court Villa <br />and Pergola, located at 334 Atlantic Avenue; and 3) the Sunny Isles Beach Pier located at 16701 <br />Collins Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
