All <br />constituents, including admixture, shall be hatched at the central batch plant. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Reinforced concrete shall conform to ACI Specification 318-89 or latest revision. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Field testing and inspection services required will be provided by the Contractor. Cost of <br />such work, except as specifically stated otherwise, will be paid for by the Contractor. <br />Methods oftest will comply in detail with the latest applicable ASTM Methods of Testing. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />Samples of constituents and of concrete as placed will be subjected to laboratory tests. <br />Materials incorporated in the work shall conform to approved samples. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />Under special circumstances, the Engineer may allow minor deviations from the material <br />requirements specified, provided the resulting concrete quality is not adversely affected or <br />provided a suitable adjustment in cement content is made to compensate for such <br />deviations without cost to the Owner. <br /> <br />SUBMIrr ALS <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Submit, as provided in the General Conditions and Section 01340, shop drawings showing <br />placement of forms, form joints, major inserts and blockouts. <br /> <br />1.06 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />06/05 <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />The actual acceptance of aggregates and development of mix proportions to produce <br />concrete conforming to the specific requirements shall be determined by means of prior <br />laboratory tests made by the Concrete Supplier or the Contractor at his expense with the <br />constituents to be used on the work. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The Concrete Supplier shall submit through the Contractor to the Engineer for approval the <br />concrete mix he intends to use, designed within the limits of these specifications, listing the <br />brand of cement, source and results of tests of aggregates and admixtures not later than 14 <br />days prior to the beginning of placing concrete. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />The limiting strengths, water-cement ratios and cement factors as shown on (Table A) shall <br />apply.
