Hines ,40,,i <br /> City Clerk <br /> Date: September 8,2005 <br /> Re: Designation of Voting Member and Alternate Voting Member to the Miami- <br /> Dade League of Cities <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution designating a member <br /> of the Commission to be a voting delegate to the Miami-Dade League of Cities and another <br /> Commission member to be the alternate. <br /> REASONS: <br /> One City official and an alternate in his/her absence need to be authorized to vote on Miami- <br /> Dade League of Cities matters. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> During Fiscal Year 2004/05 Mayor Edelcup has served as the delegate and Commissioner <br /> Goodman served as the alternate. The current one-year term expires on September 30, 2005. <br /> The Miami-Dade League of Cities' Annual Installation Banquet will occur on October 6, 2005, <br /> therefore the Commission should designate a delegate and an alternate to the Miami-Dade <br /> League of Cities. Any elected official may attend a League meeting at any time. The purpose of <br /> the above representative and alternate is solely for voting authority. <br />
