<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - ..83.9 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING <br />THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AD VALOREM TAX <br />MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.95 MILLS PER ONE <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED <br />VALUE WHICH IS 5.65% GREATER THAN THE "ROLLED <br />BACK" RATE OF 2.7922 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005/06; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of2005 Taxable Value"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br />County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public <br />hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 8, 2005, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2005-824, <br />establishing tentatively the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.95 mills per One <br />Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Establish the Millage Rate. The millage rate is hereby established as 2.95 per One <br />Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The <br />millage reflected is 5.65% greater than the "rolled back" rate of 2.7922 mills, for Fiscal Year <br />2005/06. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
