There are thirty-one (31) coconut palms and three (3)
medjool date palms donated to the city by the Williams Island owners. These trees have been
appraised by the City's Landscape Architect, Bill O'Leary and valued at approximately$57,100.00.
REASONS:
The trees have been planted on our vacant lot in Golden shores on 191" Terrace. It seems that we
are always in need of a palm either due to disease or vehicle damage. By accepting these palms we
have created our own small tree farm to be used when and where needed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
After our most recent hurricane,Wilma, gasoline was extremely hard to find due to the loss of
electrical power.Williams Island donated 2,500 gallons of fuel to the city with the proviso that the
Acqualina employees be allowed to fill their cars.
Agenda Item OK
Date I I - 19 -05
