<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 8 ~ q <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH STANLEY SECURITY SOLUTIONS FOR <br />THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF AUTOMATIC <br />DOOR OPENERS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT, IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF ELEVEN THOUSAND SEVENTY -FIVE <br />DOLLARS ($11,075.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT <br />"A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID <br />AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of automatic door openers for certain doors at the Sunny <br />Isles Beach Government Center ("Government Center"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these automatic door openers need to be ADA compliant and maintain the <br />same look/style of the existing Government Center automatic door openers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the automatic door openers will be placed on one 36" pair of doors at the <br />library and four 36" wide single doors at the bathrooms; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has contacted several vendors for price quotes for automatic door <br />openers and related equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Stanley Security Solutions has submitted a proposal in the amount of <br />Eleven Thousand Seventy-Five Dollars, attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposal from Stanley Security Solutions is <br />the lowest most responsible, response. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves an Agreement <br />with Stanley Security Solutions for automatic door openers and related equipment, in the amount <br />of Eleven Thousand Seventy-Five Dollars ($11,075.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Addendum. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager.
