<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- q~ "7 A <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH CAL VIN GIORDANO AND <br />ASSOCIATES FOR CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE <br />TOWN CENTER PARK RESTROOM AND LIGHTING <br />PROJECT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY- <br />FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY -TWO <br />DOLLARS ($25,872.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 8, 2005, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2005- <br />868, which approved the concept of a public facilities building, inclusive of public restrooms, for <br />the Town Center Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission directed and staff has concluded a feasibility study of <br />installing a public facilities building at Town Center Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is now in need of a consultant to design the public facilities <br />building and to increase the current lighting standards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Consultant will perform such services to include surveying, <br />geotechnical analysis, civil engineering design, electrical engineering design, and construction <br />inspection services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Calvin Giordano and Associates was qualified to perform General <br />Municipal Services for the City via Resolution No.2003-5l5; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Calvin Giordano and Associates has agreed to undeliake this project and <br />has submitted a proposal for said professional services, in an amount not to exceed Twenty-Five <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars ($25,872.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The Agreement with Calvin Giordano and Associates <br />for surveying, geotechnical analysis, civil engineering design, electrical engineering design, and <br />construction inspection services for the Town Center Park Restroom and Lighting Improvements <br />Project, in an amount not to exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars <br />($25,870.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />R2006- Town Ctr Park Restroom & Light Agrmt W-CGA Page I 01'2 <br />
