<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 8~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE CITY TO <br />PARTNER WITH THE NORTH MIAMI BEACH OPTIMIST LITTLE <br />LEAGUE BASEBALL PROGRAM BY DONATING TWO THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($2,000.00) TO THEIR OPERATING FUND; PROVIDING <br />FOR THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach IS committed to providing recreational <br />activities to the young children in this community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has formed a partnership over the years with North Miami Beach <br />Optimist Little League Baseball Program to provide baseball to the children in this community; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the partnership between the City and the Optimist League is mutually <br />beneficial. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section I. Approval of Partnership. The City Commission hereby approves the partnership <br />between the City and North Miami Beach Optimist Little league. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Commission directs the City Manager to do <br />all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution, which include but not limited to donating <br />$2,000.00 (Two Thousand Dollars) to the Optimist League. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
