<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - Q20 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER <br />SERVERS, WORKSTATIONS, AND OTHER RELATED <br />HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FROM DELL FOR THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT, UNDER STATE OF FLORIDA IT <br />HARDWARE CONTRACT #250-000-03-1, IN A TOT AL <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY THOUSAND FOUR <br />HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE DOLLARS AND FORTY-SIX <br />CENTS ($20,489.46), A TT ACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT <br />"A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department ("Depmiment") has been working <br />hard to upgrade and automate its processes and equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department is seeking to implement a new state-of-the-art computer <br />aided dispatch and records management system ("System"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department would like to purchase new computer servers, workstations, <br />and other related hardware and software, in order to realize the maximum benefits of the new <br />System; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has requested a quote from Dell, a leader in the computer industry, for <br />said computer servers, workstations, and other related hardware and software; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dell has provided a quote under the State of Florida IT Hardware Contract <br />#250-000-03-1 for the purchase of the computer servers, workstations, and other related <br />hardware and software, in a total amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Four Hundred Eighty- <br />Nine Dollars and Forty-Six Cents ($20,489.46), attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of SumlY Isles Beach desires to purchase said computer servers, <br />workstations, and other related hardware and software from Dell. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorization of Purchase. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase <br />of computer servers, workstations, and other related hardware and software from Dell for the <br />Police Department, under State of Florida IT Hardware Contract #250-000-03-1, in a total <br />amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars and Forty-Six Cents <br />($20,489.46), attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />R2006- Dell Computer Purchase For PO <br /> <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
