Maas, Chief <br /> <br />Date: June 15, 2006 <br /> <br />Subject: Resolution Allowing the Police Department Use of a Specific Uniform Dry deaning <br />Vendor/Service Supplier from the Approved Budget. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the expenditure of budgeted funds in the <br />amount up to $ 15,000,00 (fifteen thousand dollars) to Tip Top Dry Cleaners Inc. for the dry cleaning <br />of uniforms for police personnel required to wear uniforms. <br /> <br />Reasons: <br /> <br />It is necessary to dry clean our police uniforms in order to maintain the quality appearance and image <br />of the Police Department. Dry cleaning maintains the material quality of the uniforms for an <br />extended period of time, thus saving on replacement costs. This is a regular expense of the <br />Department for which we anticipate exceeding $10,000.00 on an annual basis. Therefore, in <br />accordance with our procurement policies we are seeking Commission approval. <br /> <br />Additional Information: <br /> <br />Of the quotes received from vendors including our current vendor, Tip Top Dry Cleaners is our <br />choice due to a variety ofreasons.
