Susan Simpson, Cultural & Human Services Dir~ June 15, 2006 Approval of Acceptance of Donation from Sunny Isles Beach Resort Association RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution approving the acceptance of a donation from the Sunny Isles Beach Resort Association to partially sponsor the fireworks display at the City's 9th Anniversary celebration. REASONS: The City Commission has expressed its desire to provide a fireworks display at the City's 9th Anniversary celebration for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. The Sunny Isles Beach Resort Association has an interest in events that the City offers, as they benefit residents and visitors. As such, they would like to make a donation in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to help fund the fireworks display. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: On May 18, 2006 the City entered into an agreement with Zambelli Fireworks International for the provision of a fireworks display on June 17, 2006, at the City's 9th Anniversary celebration.
