<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-TIZ. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE ACCEPTANCE OF <br />A DONATION IN AN AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($2,000.00) FROM LUKES' LANDSCAPING, INC. TO PARTIALLY <br />SPONSOR THE CITY'S SUNNY SERENADE ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2006; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach provides various events for its citizens <br />including the Sunny Serenade; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lukes' Landscaping, Inc. wished to donate Two Thousand Dollars <br />($2,000.00) for the September 20, 2006 Sunny Serenade to partially sponsor the event in lieu of <br />advertising that names them as a sponsor of this event; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the September 20, 2006 Sunny Serenade was a special event that featured <br />the dedication of the City's new sculpture, Rising Horizons, allowing the citizens to enjoy the <br />Town Center Park's amenities. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />- - -- --- ---- <br />Section [H -R.!iillYlng the Acceptance of Donation. The City Commission hereby ratifies the <br />acceptance of the donation from Lukes' Landscaping, Inc., in an amount of Two Thousand <br />Dollars ($2,000,00) that partially sponsored the September 20, 2006 Surmy Serenade held at the <br />Town Center Park. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3, <br /> <br />Effective Date.
