<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY-OF-suNNY-YSJ:Es-BEA-clt, 1<'LUKlDA, APPRUVING <br />AN AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH LUKES' <br />LANDSCAPING, INC. ("LUKES"'), FOR AN OVERHEAD <br />IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR MEDIANS ALONG COLLINS <br />AVENUE, IN AN AMOUNT OF FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND <br />THREE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE DOLLARS AND FIFTY- <br />NINE CENTS ($51,399.59), ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A", IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTIONS <br />NO. 2003-556 AND 2001-390; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is desirous of maintaining the landscaping of <br />the medians along Collins Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to install overhead irrigation of the additional flowered bull <br />noses located at the end of each median along Collins A venue to keep the plants washed for <br />proper growth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City adopted Resolution No, 2003-556 authorizing an agreement with <br />Lukes' Landscaping, Inc" for landscaping maintenance and Resolution No, 2001-390 awarding <br />Lukes' a six-year agreement to landscape and maintain the parks, medians and rights-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lukes' Landscaping, Inc" are under contract with the City and will provide <br />overhead irrigation along the medians on Collins Avenue at a cost of Fifty-One Thousand Three <br />Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars and Fifty-Nine Cents ($51,399,59), attached hereto as Exhibit "A", <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1, Approval of Amendment to Agreement. The Amendment to the Agreement with <br />Lukes' Landscaping, Inc" in accordance with Resolutions No, 2003-556 and No, 2001-390, for <br />overhead irrigation of the additional flowered bull noses located at the end of each median along <br />Collins Avenue, in an amount of$51,399,59, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be and the same, is <br />hereby approved, <br /> <br />Section 2, Authorization of City Manager.
