<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />January 18, 2007 <br />Paqe -2- <br /> <br />· General Needs to be Served by Funding: The NMBOLL provides an <br />opportunity for hundreds of children from all backgrounds to come <br />together to learn and play baseball. This serves the positive goal of <br />teaching kids lifetime values of sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication. <br />It also serves the goal of reducing the idle time of kids and keeps them off <br />the streets. <br /> <br />. Specific Scope of Activity: <br /> <br />o Eligible Ages: 5-16 <br /> <br />o Length of Season: From January through June <br /> <br />o Number of Games: Varies with age. Five-year olds play <br />approximately 12 games during the year; ages 12 and up play over <br />20 games during the year. League All-Stars are also eligible to <br />participate in the Little League International Tournament (also <br />funded by the League), which takes place in July and can involve <br />another 6 games. <br /> <br />. Specific Funding Needs: <br /> <br />o Uniforms <br /> <br />o Balls <br /> <br />o Equipment.
