<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN
<br />AGREEMENT WITH CALVIN, GIORDANO, AND
<br />ASSOCIATES, INC., TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING
<br />SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF SANITARY SEWER
<br />COLLECTION SYSTEM, DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS,
<br />RESURF ACING- AND-STREETLIGIITING- FOR -THE
<br />ATLANTIC AVENUE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, IN
<br />AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FORTY-
<br />TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS
<br />($242,402.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A";
<br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
<br />AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
<br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
<br />TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on December 21,2006 the City of SUI my Isles Beach issucd RFQ No. 06-12-02
<br />to provide Engineering Services for the design of a sanitary sewer collection system, drainage
<br />improvements, resurfacing and streetlighting for the Atlantic A venue Special Assessment District;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, five (5) firms responded: Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., Marlin
<br />Engineering, Inc., Chen Associates, Civil Works, Inc., and CES Consultants, Inc.; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, based on the proposals, subsequent interviews, and fee quotations, the City
<br />Manager selected Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc.; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Calvin, Giordano, and
<br />Associates, Inc., to provide Engineering Selvices for the design of a sanitaty sewer collection system,
<br />drainage improvements, resurfacing and street lighting for the Atlantic A venue Special Assessment
<br />District, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Four Hundred Two Dollars
<br />($242,402.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A".

<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />Section I. Approval of Agreement. The Agreement with Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc.
<br />to provide Engineering Services for the design of a sanitary sewer collection system, drainage
<br />improvements, resurfacing and streetlighting for the Atlantic Avenue Special Assessment District, in
<br />an amount not to exceed Two Hundred FOl'ly-Two Thousand Four Hundred Two Dollars
