Hines, CMC, City Clerk ~ A <br /> <br />July 19, 2007 <br /> <br />Resolution Revising City Commission Meeting 2007 Schedule <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution amending the <br />schedule of City Commission meetings for the remainder of the year 2007, by adding a regular <br />City Commission meeting on Thursday, August 16, 2007, and Special City Commission <br />meetings tentatively on Thursday, September 13, 2007, and Thursday, September 27, 2007, <br />beginning at 6:30 p.m., for Fiscal Year 2007/2008 Budget Hearings. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />At the June 21, 2007 City Commission meeting, the Commission approved going on a full 12- <br />month schedule of .City Commission meetings including the month of August, beginning this <br />year, showing our residents that this City is a full-run government and not closed in August. <br /> <br />We also need to schedule Special City Commission meetings for the purpose of establishing a <br />Millage rate and consideration of adoption of a proposed budget for Fiscal Year 200712008, <br />which needs to be scheduled around the Miami-Dade County Commission and Miami-Dade <br />County School Board meeting schedules.
