A secondary date
of January 1, 2008 was also set, mandating that all current law enforcement employees be re-
fingerprinted and electronically submitted the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Purchasing this system would allow us to capture and submit electronic fingerprints in-house,
without requiring our officers or applicants to travel to an off-site third party vendor to capture
these mandated electronic fingerprints. This system would also allow for the Human Resources
Department to submit general applicant fingerprints with a turn around time of approximately 24
hours compared to the standard 3 weeks.

If approved, this system would be purchased from Cross Match Technologies, Inc. under the
Federal GSA pricing schedule, Contract# GS-35F-0199R

To be completed by Department Head To be completed by City ClerICs Ollice
Funding a\'ailablc: ApprO\'al: Agenda Item No,: i Sfi
Finance Department City Manager
Commission J\1ccting l)atc: l~/ 0 f

RecommendatIOn] ,etter - ] ,I\'C Scan System H-16-07, Doc H-16-07
