<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING <br />THE APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH AUDIO <br />VISUAL INNOV A TIONS (A VI) FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />INST ALLA TION OF DVDNCR COMBO PLAYERS, LCD <br />PANELS, AND RELA TED EQUIPMENT AT THE <br />COMMUNITY CENTER IN PELICAN COMMUNITY PARK, <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND <br />SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTEEN DOLLARS AND THIRTY -SIX <br />CENTS ($70,715.36), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TE~S OF THE <br />AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of DVDNCR Combo Players, LCD Panels, and related <br />equipment for the Community Center in Pelican Community Park on an expedited basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, our procurement ordinance provides that purchases arising out of or because of <br />emergencies which shall be defined as a situation, occurrence or matter necessitating immediate or <br />quick action and not permitting adequate time to utilize the competitive bidding process, are exempt <br />from the competitive bidding procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff contacted Audio Visual Innovations (A VI) to provide said services, as <br />they have provided these types of services to the City in the past; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A VI was qualified, willing, and able to provide the desired services on the <br />terms and conditions set forth herein; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager contracted with A VI for the purchase and installation of <br />install DVDNCR Combo Players, LCD Panels, and related equipment, in an amount of Seventy <br />Thousand Seven Hundred Fifteen Dollars and Thirty-Six Cents ($70,715.36), attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to ratify the City Manager's approval of said <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Ratify Approval of Agreement.
