<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - J \ S:t <br />. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE <br />APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH AT&T/BELLSOUTH <br />FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PHONE <br />SYSTEM, WIRELESS ACCESS POINT, NETWORK <br />EQUIPMENT, RELATED ACCESSORIES FOR THE <br />COMMUNITY CENTER IN PELICAN COMMUNITY PARK, IN <br />TOT AL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($80,000.00), A TT ACHED HERETO AS <br />A TT ACHMENT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS <br />OF THE AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need upgrades for the phone system, the wireless access points for <br />the community network, the network equipment and related accessories for the Community Center in <br />Pelican Community Park on an expedited basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, AT&T /BellSouth is a renown leader in the field of telecommunications and has <br />agreed to perform these services for the City in the terms and conditions of State of Florida Contract <br />Number 250-000-03-01, attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, AT &T/Bellsouth has submitted a proposal for professional services, in an <br />amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00), for upgrades for the phone system, the <br />wireless access points for the community network, the network equipment and related accessories for <br />the Community Center, attached hereto as Exhibit "BOO; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, purchases made under state general service administration contracts, federal, <br />county or other governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies are <br />exempt from the City's competitive bidding procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to ratify the approval of the Agreement with <br />AT &T/BellSouth for the provision of said services, attached hereto as Attachment "A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Ratification of Approval of Agreement. The Agreement with AT &T/BellSouth for <br />upgrades for the phone system, the wireless access points for the community network, the network <br />equipment and related accessories for the Community Center at Pelican Community Park, in an <br />amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00), attached hereto as Attachment "A", be, <br />and the same, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />R2007- A VI for Community Ctr at Pelican Comm Park <br />
