RESOLUTION NO. 2007- ,\ t., 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.3979 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 9% LESS THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.6351 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007/2008; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2007 Taxable Value"; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget; and WHEREAS, on September 17,2007, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2007- 1146, establishing tentatively the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.3979 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Establish the Millage Rate. The millage rate is hereby established as 2.3979 per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The millage reflected is 9% less than the "rolled back" rate of2.6351 mills, for Fiscal Year 2007/2008. Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
